i like cleveland this year, vince carter never seems to play up to his level in the playoffs, combined with shaq and big z to throw at howard, and lebron playing at a level not matched by anyone, i like cleveland.

Who needs Vince Carter when you got JJ Red i c k, hitting for 23 Monday and a career high 7 boards and 8 assists. Just Kidding......a little bit.

    Re: NBA Playoffs...

Playing in Atlanta during the regular season and playing them during the playoffs is two totally different things, they are loaded with talent and that place during the playoffs is scary for any team. The Magic got rid of 4 players from that team last year, Lebron and the Cavs have just gotten better and better, like I said I don't see the collapse like last year. Will it be a good series? Yup, I'll definitely be watching it, but some unlikely things would have to fall into place for them to beat the Cavs.

Really, I can't wait for the playoffs this year, especially in the West..I probably won't miss a single minute of any of those games in all the rounds.

Lakers drop another tonight, by 17 to the Hawks, 3 of their last 4. Could be that they've decided to lay back until the playoffs, but the bench has been sucking and Kobe showing some tiredness.

Cleveland and Boston on ABC right now, like to see them in the 2nd round. I think the Lakers and Spurs are on after this, I may be completely wrong but think they are.

    EAST -

    1) Cleveland
    2) Orlando
    3) Atlanta
    4) Boston
    5) Miami
    6) Milwaukee
    7) Charlotte
    8) Chicago

    1st Round -

Cleveland/Chicago - who got in tonight over TOR.

    Orlando/Charlotte

    Atlanta/Milwaukee

Boston/Miami - Clinched the 5 seed tonight over Milwaukee.

    _____________________

    WEST -

    1) LA
    2) Dallas
    3) Phoenix
    4) Denver
    5) Utah
    6) Portland
    7) SA
    8) OKC

    1st Round -

    LA/OKC

    Dallas/SA

    Phoenix/Portland -

Denver/Utah - dropped all the way down to 5th with their loss to PHX tonight(which is still in progress as I type this, but PHX dominating).

So what's the thoughts on the 1st round match-ups? I'm actually pretty pumped for the Laker/OKC series, Durant/Kobe and OKC could very well take this 7.

NBA Schedule, Pro Basketball Schedule, National Basketball Association Schedule - ESPN

TV schedule for the games, starts this Saturday with Cleveland and Chicago on ABC, but looking forward to that Denver/Utah game/series later that night. Miami/Boston might be a good one to watch too, Miami has disappointed me this year, but with Bostons performance towards the end...Wade and Co. just might take it or at least a good 7 game series.

    Re: NBA Playoffs...

Its very possible that every series in the West goes the distance. For the first round I will take the Lakers, Spurs, Suns and Jazz. If the Blazers had Roy healthy I would take them.

    Re: NBA Playoffs...

I honestly see the seeds holding with the better seeds winning in the first round. But there definitely some intriguing series.

I think the best matchup in the west will be the Dallas-SA series. SA is getting older, but you can't count out the Spurs and Popavich. Not to mention Dallas likes to choke this time of the year. Lakers win in 5 btw. They have been on cruise control for over a month, just waiting until the ACTUAL NBA SEASON STARTS!

In the East, i think Charlotte and Milwaukee each have a shot at a first round upset. Both are inexperienced in playoff basketball which will probably cost them in the end.
